Ten in hospital after Bus crash

Ten people have been taken to hospital after a double-decker bus collided with a low bridge at Sandwich St, near Westland Row, in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

Ten people have been taken to hospital after a double-decker bus collided with a low bridge at Sandwich St, near Westland Row, in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

The top deck of a number 19A was crushed as the driver attempted to drive under the 12 foot bridge after the bus was diverted from its normal route due to the Patrick's Day parades.

The accident happened just before 4pm.

A fleet of ambulances is currently at the scene.
