Several teenagers have been brought to hospital after at least one aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda, Co. Louth this afternoon.

Several teenagers have been brought to hospital after at least one aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda, Co. Louth this afternoon.

The teenagers were in a house in the Marian Park area at 4.20pm when the explosion occurred.

Gardai have said that some structural damage was also caused to the house.

Emergency services attended the scene and all the injured have been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

UPDATE: 8.30pm

Four teenage girls have been brought to hospital after at least one aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda, Co. Louth this afternoon.

The girls, aged between 12 and 14, were in a house in the Marian Park area at 4:20pm when the explosion occurred.
