Teen charged with drug dealing
30/10/2009 - 14:02:22A 16-year-old boy has been charged with drug dealing over a seizure of nearly €9,000 worth of cocaine at his home.
The boy was charged at the Children's Court with possessing the cocaine worth €8,857 and cannabis with a street value of €858 for sale or supply at his north Dublin home, on January 10 last.
Judge Aingeal Ni Chonduin remanded the boy, who was accompanied to court by his mother, on bail to appear again next month.
A decision has yet to be made as to whether the case is to be kept in the citys juvenile court or instead be sent to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, which can, on conviction, impose lengthier sentences.
