Tech firms to create 80 new jobs09/05/2012 - 07:26:05
Up to 45 new jobs are to be created by the rollout of a new business search engine in Ireland, while a further 35 are to come online at a semiconductor company in Limerick.
Dublin-based startup CashIQ will detail the financial accounts of over 8 million companies in Ireland and the UK, and the new jobs will be in the areas of research, IT and business development.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Michael Noonan has announced 35 new jobs are coming onstream at a semiconductor company in Limerick.
ZMDI is establishing an R&D design centre, bringing with it highly-skilled engineering positions for graduates and technicians.
The R&D centre will focus on the development of products for the smart power management sector, which is a key growth area driven by the demand for increased energy efficiency in data centre cooling, telecommunications and high-end computing.
"The addition of ZMDI to Limerick is a major endorsement of Ireland’s capabilities in the area of analog and mixed signal electronics and R&D," Minister Noonan said.
"The company will provide excellent employment opportunities in the mid-west region for talented engineering graduates and technicians.”
Headquartered in Dresden, Germany, ZMDI has 280 employees worldwide.
