The Dáil has signed off on plans for an Oireachtas banking inquiry.

Seven deputies will sit on the committee, including four from the Government, as well as two members of the Seanad.

The inquiry's chairman, Labour TD Ciaran Lynch, says the inquiry will not be run by the usual party lines.
