The Taoiseach will meet the Pope later this morning for first time since Mr Kenny's Dail speech which strongly attacked the Vatican's handling of the clerical sex abuse issue in Ireland.
Enda Kenny is one of a group of Centrist political leaders meeting Pope Benedict in Rome later today.
In his July 2011 speech, the Taoiseach accused the Vatican of dysfunction and elitism in its failure to tackle the clerical abuse problem.
But Mr Kenny has insisted that he does not feel uncomfortable about today's meeting.
