Taoiseach Enda Kenny will chair a meeting of the Croke Park Implementation Body this afternoon in a bid to secure more savings ahead of the Budget.

Management and unions will be presented with possible further savings across the public service.

The meeting will also be attended by Public Expenditure Minister Brendan Howlin who has examined all the proposals.

The Coalition announced yesterday that it would not stop pay rises due to 500 of the top earners in the public service.
