The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, will attend the British-Irish Council Summit in Jersey which gets under way today.

The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, will attend the British-Irish Council Summit in Jersey which gets under way today.

The council was established under the Good Friday Agreement to promote special relations between the eight member islands.

The main focus of the summit is on the development of youth employment and the creative industries.

Following the recent web summit, the Irish Government will focus on upskilling our young jobseekers and the enormous potential of the digital economy.

The Taoiseach will be accompanied by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan.
