The Taoiseach has been confronted by angry protestors as he campaigned in Limerick city.
A group of around 80 people - mostly linked to the Anti-Austerity Alliance - surrounded Enda Kenny and Finance Minister Michael Noonan as they were canvassing for votes in the local and European elections.
One local election candidate, Cian Prenderville, tackled the Taoiseach over cuts to dole payments for the under 25s.
A female protestor opposed to the property tax and water charges likened Mr Kenny to a certain wooden puppet, yelling "Pinnochio" at him.
