Taoiseach Enda Kenny will meet with rape victim Fiona Doyle today.
Her 72-year-old father Patrick O'Brien, of Old Court Avenue in Bray, Co Wicklow was jailed last week after pleading guilty to raping and indecently assaulting her over a 10-year period.
O'Brien was allowed to walk free from court last week despite being jailed for these sexual crimes against his daughter.
He remained free for four days before Mr Justice Paul Carney decided to revoke his bail and send him to prison.
Today the Taoiseach will honour his promise to meet Fiona Doyle, who he described as a "courageous victim".
The 47-year-old wife and mother-of-five decided to waive her right to anonymity in order to reveal her father's identity.
Deputy Kenny has invited her to Government Buildings this evening to discuss her views on the Irish justice system.
It will take place amid widespread criticism from abuse campaigners over a lack of sentencing guidelines for sex crimes.
