Taoiseach 'set to announce hundreds of Cork jobs tomorrow'

VoxPro Managing Director Dan Kiely

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is expected to announce hundreds of new jobs for Cork tomorrow, according to local media reports.

Around 350 jobs are set to be confirmed at VoxPro Ireland, the Cork Independent reported today.

The company, which provides multilingual tech support and business outsourcing services, currently employs almost 500 people at its head office in Mahon Point.

Last year, the firm, founded by Cork couple Dan and Linda Kiely, announced their intention to double its Cork workforce to 1,000 by 2015.

The company confirmed that an event will be taking place tomorrow.

The Taoiseach’s office would not reveal the details of any announcement, but did confirm that Deputy Kenny will be in Cork tomorrow for the launch of Deirdre Clune's European election campaign.
