Taoiseach: Public sector reforms would eliminate need for further pay cuts

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said today that there will not be a need for further pay cuts in the public service if savings are made through reforms.

Cowen appears to be offering an olive branch to public sector unions after talks broke down with the pay cut implemented in last year's Budget.
