Taoiseach: Investigation into horse meat found in burgers 'very important'

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has moves to reassure consumers that the discovery of horse meat in the Irish food chain poses no risk to human health.
Deputy Kenny said that the concern is more about any reputational damage to Ireland's beef industry.
Speaking in Strasbourg, Mr. Kenny said investigators will find out how the imported additives came to end up in Irish beef burgers:
"There is a full investigation going on as to how the imported additives got into the system and where they came from," he said.
"This is very important for Ireland's reputation.
"We do supply most of the burgers for McDonalds throughout the European Union, from Ireland, and we pride ourselves on having a world-class beef [industry] from farm to gate, as it were."
