Taoiseach intends to hold General Election in Spring 2016
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said the next General Election will be in Spring 2016, if the Government lasts its course.
Mr Kenny was speaking at the Irish Haulier Awards in Dublin last night.
He told Galway Bay FM that he hopes to have a very different Ireland by then.
He said: "If the Government lasts its course, it will go the full distance of its five years and the election therefore will be in the Spring of 2016.
"I think if that is the case everybody should know it and not have everybody guessing and wondering about what's happening here."
