Taoiseach: I will be around for a long time

Enda Kenny says he plans to be around "for a long time".

The Taoiseach was responding to questions about whether he plans to run in the next General Election.

He has already said he will not lead Fine Gael into the election, but has not said whether he wants to remain in the Dáil.

The issue was raised as he arrived at his 15th Fine Gael presidential dinner in Dublin tonight.

The Taoiseach said: "I am not responsible for headlines that appear in any paper and those who were at the meeting know exactly what I said.

"It was very clear, I said I would be around for a long time."
