The Taoiseach has today backed calls for Angela Kerins to go before the Public Accounts Committee next week.
"Well, I've said that anybody involved in Section 38 or Section 39 should appear before the Public Accounts Committee," he said.
"I expect that the former chief executive should go before the PAC and she will have her story to tell, I'm sure."
Earlier, PAC chairman John McGuinness said he "absolutely expects" Rehab's outgoing chief executive to attend a hearing as planned.
However, the committee has decided to delay any investigation into the equipment bought by the Gardaí for recording telephone calls.
