Taoiseach accuses FF of hypocrisy after jobs criticism

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has today accused the opposition of hypocrisy after they criticised the Government's record on job creation.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin said that Government measures such as cutting the capital programme have made the jobless situation even worse.
Mr Kenny said that he is unhappy with the number of people out of work and insists the Government is trying all it can with the money available.
"I'm the first to accept that when I travel round the country, and meet people in every walk of life, their overriding ambition … is to have a job and be in gainful employment," he said.
"And what the Government are doing, and making no apology about, is to shift out of the rut of hopelessness that we inherited to a situation where people can not only have confidence, but can see that there is oppurtuinity and that jobs can and will be created."
