Tánaiste to meet families of Stardust victims

The Tánaiste, Eamon Gilmore, is to meet families of those who died in the 1981 Stardust tragedy in Dublin this morning.

The families claim new evidence as to the cause of the fire has been found among the Director of Public Prosecution's files and transcripts on the case.

However, they say this evidence was ignored by two reviews into the tragedy.

The families are demanding a commission of investigation to correct the public record, in light of the new evidence.
