Tallaght man jailed for heroin possession

A Tallaght man who stored over €1m of drugs under a bath is beginning an eight-year jail sentence this evening.

A Dublin man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for possession of heroin worth almost €1.6m.

Francis Sinclair of Kilclare Gardens, Tallaght, had pleaded guilty to possession of heroin for sale or supply at two properties on February 9, 2010.

During the raid of the 40 year -old's house gardaí found 70 packages of heroin stashed under a bath.

Judge Donagh McDonagh suspended the last four years of his sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
