Efforts will continue today to avert travel chaos for Aer Lingus passengers next week.
Pilots have threatened industrial action next Tuesday in a row over rosters.
If it goes ahead, up to 30,000 passengers a day could be disrupted.
Both sides in this row - management at Aer Lingus and the pilots union IALPA - met at the Labour Relations Commission for the day yesterday.
The talks were adjourned just after 6pm yesterday without agreement, but both sides described the negotiations as constructive.
It was agreed that the parties would take the night to reflect on the issues and the talks would reconvene at the LRC this afternoon at 2.30pm.
The pilots say they are being forced to work unreasonable rosters because of staff shortages. Aer Lingus insists it has enough pilots to run the airline, and that the problem centres on rosters and productivity.
