Survey reveals sense of isolation for breast cancer sufferers

Feelings of isolation and a lack of information are being reported by women with advanced breast cancer in a global survey.

The survey said women with secondary or advanced cancer feel that early detection, prevention and possible cure are the main messages in the wider breast cancer movement.

More than half of the 1,300 women who took part also said the information they seek does not address their needs.

There is a view that there are more supports and facilities for those with early stage breast cancer.
