Anyone who wants to support civil marriages for same-sex couples is being invited to attend a march in Dublin today.
Organiser, the LGBT Noise group, say they are asking Taoiseach Enda Kenny to say "I do" to same-sex marriage, and want new legislation drawn up to allow for the unions.
The march starts at 3pm at City Hall, from where the crowd will make their way to the Department of Justice on St Stephen's Green, where organisers say "festivities will begin".
"The main plank of our campaigning is to open the institution of civil marriage to same-sex couples," said Organiser Max Krzyzanowski the LGBT Noise group.
"So this is very different to religious marriage, I have to make that clear at the start, we're not after churches opening up to perform services that they don't want to, we want civil marriage for same-sex couples … in the registry office."
