Fianna Fáil have recovered some ground but remains in third place behind Labour and Fine Gael, according to the first opinion poll of 2010.
The Irish Times survey also shows a small rise in support for the Government as a whole and in Brian Cowen's personal satisfaction.
THE IPSOS/MRBI poll shows Fine Gael maintain its support and go up one point to 32%.
Labour stays in second place, dropping a point to 24%.
Fianna Fáil is on 22% - up 2% from the last comparable poll in September last year.
The Greens and Sinn Féin lost a point each to fall to 3% and 8% respectively, with others unchanged on 11%.
Support for the Government has gone up 5% to 19% - but three out of four voters still remain unhappy with the job the Coalition is doing.
Brian Cowen's personal satisfaction has recovered some ground - up 3% to 26%, with increases too for John Gormley, Gerry Adams and Eamon Gilmore - who remains the country's most popular political leader.
Enda Kenny is the only one to lose support - down a point to 31%.
