A marketing software provider will create 150 jobs when it opens its European headquarters in Dublin, it was announced today.
US firm HubSpot is looking for staff in sales, marketing, account management and support for its new base, that will open in January.
The hub will oversee its international operations and support more than 600 of its 8,000 customers in 56 countries worldwide.
JD Sherman, of HubSpot, said the market for its software outside the US is several times the size its domestic market.
He maintained its international business is already growing 200% a year.
“There are about 600,000 US marketers, but millions more worldwide,” said Mr Sherman.
“We’re providing these marketers the right tools to get more traffic, leads, and better ROI (return on investment) via inbound marketing campaigns that people truly love.
“Opening this office will scale that up significantly, providing an exhilarating opportunity for the talented folks who join HubSpot Dublin.”
It aims to fill 150 jobs by the end of 2015.
Barry O’Leary, of IDA Ireland which supported the move, said the decision by HubSpot to locate a new EMEA headquarters in Ireland further enhances Ireland’s reputation as the internet capital of Europe.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton added: “Marketing software is an important high-growth sector, and HubSpot’s announcement is a recognition that Ireland is now an increasingly attractive location for the most compelling internet business to open facilities and create jobs.”
