A spokesperson for Smyths, which is a Galway-based retailer, said the sign had been put up by staff in Jervis Street, and it was not checked by head office.
The spokesperson said Smyths does not generally take a political stance as a company and "does not engage in national or international political affairs".
In a statement, Smyths said its customers should be free to make their own decisions.
