A man from Sligo collected a cheque for €350,000 at National Lottery offices today.

A man from Sligo collected a cheque for €350,000 at National Lottery offices today.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the Lotto Plus 1 draw last Wednesday, April 29.

He bought his lucky €4 Quick Pick ticket in Dunnes Stores, Cranmore Road, Sligo.

Speaking today as he collected his prize, he said: "I couldn’t believe it when I saw I had the six numbers.

"I’ve no big plans – I’ll put the cheque in the bank… I’ll not go mad!"

Tonight’s Lotto jackpot is an estimated €5.5m.

To date, the National Lottery has raised over €4.5bn for good causes.
