As the June Bank Holiday gets underway Met Éireann is forecasting heavy rain across the country as the unsettled weather of recent days continues.

Foo Fighters and the Kaiser Chiefs will play to a packed crowd at Slane Castle.

In addition to the outdoor concert in Meath, there are three other major events taking place; Forbidden Fruit, Bloom, the Life festival in Westmeath and Bank holiday Monday’s women’s mini-marathon in Dublin.
