A number of people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle pile up on the M3 Dublin to Cavan Road.

A number of people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle pile up on the M3 Dublin to Cavan Road.

It incident occurred near Dunshauglin shortly before 4pm.

The M3 Dublin/Cavan Road has reopened southbound, however on the northbound side between Junction 6 Dunshaughlin and Junction 7 Skryne/Kilmessan remains closed.

No one is believed to have been seriously injured.
