The founding place of the GAA is among 230 properties up for grabs in the lastest Allsop Space auction.
Hayes's hotel in Thurles, Tipperary - where the GAA was founded in 1884 - is one of the commerical and residential properties with a combined reserve of up to 60 million euros at the RDS today.
The catalogue includes up to 100 properties in Dublin, with a number of former bank branches also on offer. Previous auctions from the company have sold between 88% - 95% of the available lots.
Director of Auctions at Allsop Space, Robert Hoban, says he is expecting a large turnout today:
"The market is improving, albeit slowly in a lot of areas," he said.
"The process itself is quite a clean process, which I think buyers find quite useful for purchasing property - because you can do all your research and your legals beforehand … and you walk away with a signed contract at the end of the day."
"It's certainly kept the popularity continuing to date."
