Siptu workers at Aer Lingus to strike


The SIPTU union has served notice of strike action to Aer Lingus for October 1.

It relates to a long-running dispute regarding pensions.

The union served similar notice of industrial action on the Dublin Airport Authority two days ago.

"We've actually served notice for two-hour stoppages to commence on the first of October this year as a consequence of the company's failing to fulfil proper funding for the deficit that exists in the pension scheme of their employees," he said.
