Sinn Féin to table motion of no-confidence in Govt
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams has said his party would table a motion of no confidence in the Government next week.
Mr Adams said Fine Gael and Labour had broken their contract with the electorate, and that last Wednesday's budget targeted working families and the most vulnerable in society.
He added a change of political and economic direction was urgently needed.
"Whether or not our motion succeeds, it will provide a platform for people to express their opinion on a Government which has torn up its contract with the Irish people," he said.
"It has no mandate to do what it is doing…It was elected on a totally different mandate."
