Sinn Féin makes formal complaint about Burton's remarks

Sinn Féin has submitted a formal complaint to the Dáil's disciplinary committee about remarks made by Joan Burton.

The comments were made during Leaders' Questions last Thursday, when the Tánaiste linked Sinn Féin to the cover-up of sexual abuse.

Dáil business was suspended three times last week as a result of the dispute.

Sinn Féin says the Tánaiste was allowed to make defamatory statements about the party, and wants her comments to be withdrawn.
