Enda Kenny should bring the Dáil back early from its summer recess to debate the findings of the Fennelly report.
That is the verdict of Sinn Féin, which says Enda Kenny should have no problem with an early debate if he truly believes he did no wrong.
Both Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil have tabled motions of no confidence in the Taoiseach, but the Dáil is not due to come back from its break for another three weeks.
Sinn Féin's Mary Lou McDonald says if the Taoiseach is happy with his actions, he should have no problem accounting for them:
"The decision as I say rests with An Taoiseach"
"If he is, as he claims, absolutely confident that he is vindicated in this report well then he should demonstrate that confidence by re-calling the Dáil, considering our motion and allowing TD's, the elected representatives of the people, to debate and to examine all the details of that report," said Ms McDonald.
