United Left Alliance TDs have joined Sinn Féin's Dáil members in walking out of the house this morning, in protest over the €715m in unguaranteed Anglo bonds that are being repaid today.

Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty said the party members would be back in the house later today.

Party leader Gerry Adams told the house: "This is an example of arrogance, of the Government just refusing to allow a proper, decent debate on this issue.

"The Sinn Féin party are not going to stay here to listen for the rest of this order of business. We are going to leave, Taoiseach."
