Simon asks voters to seek answers from candidates on homelessness

The Simon Communities of Ireland are calling on people to ask canvassing General Election candidates about housing and homelessness.

The homelessness charity said the issue of housing was one that affects all communities in all areas of the country.

The Simon Communities say they are determined that proposed solutions to solve the housing shortage will not become another empty election promise.

National spokesperson Niamh Randall (pictured) called for people to question candidates on the doorsteps, saying: "We know people are deeply concerned about this issue. We're asking people to ask candidates what they'll do about housing when they candidates call to their door."
