Sides due to begin second day of Croke Park talks


Today will see the second day of talks aimed at extending the Croke Park Agreement.

A short initial meeting yesterday left some union leaders pessimistic that a deal could be done because of the level of demands being sought by the Government.

Pay cuts, longer working hours, cuts to overtime rates and the scrapping of increments are among the proposals believed to have been put forward.
