Shortall hopes new alcohol bill will be drafted by September

The Cabinet is to consider a range of measures to tackle alcohol abuse at its weekly meeting tomorrow.
Labour's Junior Health Minister Roisín Shortall says she expects the proposals - covering minimum pricing, advertising restrictions and alcohol sponsorship - will be accepted.
A number of Fine Gael Ministers - including Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney - have expressed reservations at the wide ranging plans to curb excessive drinking.
However Shortall - who's denying there's a rift over the measures - hopes a new Public Health Alcohol Bill will be drafted by September.
She said: "We have modified some of the proposals and there has been a level of compromise.
"We went around, the chief medical officer and myself, listened to what ministers had to say. We had quite serious engagament over recent months and have tried to accommodate those concerns in the action plan.
