Six people have been taken to hospital after a seven-car pile-up on Cork's main ring road.
The accident happened just before 5pm on the east-bound ramp for the N40 South Ring Rd, just off the Kinsale Road roundabout.
Gardaí and several units of Cork City Fire brigade rushed to the scene.
A fleet of ambulances ferried the injured to Cork University Hospital.
Traffic has been severely disrupted and gardai are still at the scene.

Within an hour, gardai had to respond to another crash on the westbound lane of the N25 Waterford to Cork road, approaching the Dunkettle roundabout.
