A Senator has accused what she describes as "menacing" water demonstrators, of undermining legitimate protests.

Joan Burton was in Jobstown to attend a public engagement.
She was initially met by a peaceful protest, which quickly escalated into tense scenes. Gardaí said two teenage boys were arrested for "minor" breaches of the Public Order Act.
Senator Katherine Zappone who was also attending the event spoke to Minister Burton when she was trapped in the car.
"She was very strong, very concerned about our safety and very understanding that people have the right to legitimate forms of protest, but was certainly concerned about some aspects of what was going on at the protest," she said.
