Searches continue for two Dublin men missing in midlands

Searches are continuing this morning for two missing Dublin men after their car was found in the midlands.

Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan - both from Coolock - were reported missing on Tuesday evening after leaving Dublin to travel to Cavan.

Gardaí focused their searches on Lough Owel in Co Westmeath yesterday after the car in which the men were travelling - a silver Ford Focus - was found in the car park.

Superintendent David Taylor of the Garda Press Office said they had concerns for the welfare of the men.

"It's a missing persons inquiry…We are concerned, as are their families. If anybody has any information, we would ask that they contact us so the families can be put at ease," he said.
