The search will resume later this morning for a 38 year old man who went out in a kayak on a lake near Cromane in Kerry in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The search will resume later this morning for a 38 year old man who went out in a kayak on a lake near Cromane in Kerry in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The alarm was raised by his partner at 8am, after he failed to return home from his kayaking trip.

The Irish Times has reported that he has been named locally as Nealie O'Connor - a father of a two-month-old baby.
