Search continues for elderly man in Kerry

Search efforts will continue in Co Kerry this morning for a man feared missing since Saturday.

The man, aged in his 60s and from Limerick, was last seen in Ballybunion on Saturday at around midday.

A rescue operation involving the Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue assisted by the Ballybunion Coastguard and fire brigade, got underway at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

"We'll be starting again at low water and we'll continue through the day," said Grace Flahibe, PRO from the Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue service.

"We're going to keep searching, basically. We're going on the tides, the tidal high water will be, again, probably around three o'clock."
