The son of bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn has purged his contempt of court for breaching an order restraining asset stripping from Quinn companies.

The son of bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn has purged his contempt of court for breaching an order restraining asset stripping from Quinn companies.

Some €220,000 is now available to the court following the sale of Sean Quinn Jnr’s Dublin home.

Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne jailed him for contempt last year over a $500,000 payment to a former director of Quinn Properties Ukraine, in proceedings brought by IBRC.

Today the judge said she was grateful the matter had reached this point.
