The prosecution in the trial of Anglo Irish Bank’s former chairman Sean Fitzpatrick is due to open its case on October 10.
The 68-year-old denies 27 counts of misleading Anglo’s auditors and furnishing false information to them between 2002 and 2008.
An enlarged jury of 15 was sworn in yesterday but a legal issue will have to be dealt with over the next few weeks before evidence can be heard.
The trial is expected to take up to twelve weeks.
