Schools meet to discuss Junior Cert reform
Representatives of around 400 secondary schools are meeting today to discuss wide-ranging proposals for the reform of the Junior Cert cycle.
A new junior cert programme is due to begin in September 2014 involving less focus on exams and more continuous assessment.
It will also entail the introduction of new short courses on subjects like performance art, digital media and Chinese.
