School bus catches fire in Clare
06/11/2009 - 18:44:54A school bus driver has had a lucky escape today after his coach caught fire in Co Clare.
The private bus was en route to pick up pupils in the East Clare town of Tulla, but thankfully no students had boarded the bus when it became engulfed in flames shortly before 4pm.
The driver also escaped unharmed.
Several units of the fire brigade and gardaí from Killaloe attended the scene and gardaí are also investigating.
The Tulla to Kilkishen Road remains closed off as the burnt-out bus is still at the scene.
