A HSE draft report into the death of Savita Halappanavar at University Hospital Galway is to be considered by her husband and his legal team over the weekend.
The 108-page report was handed over to Gerard O'Donnell, Praveen Halappanavar's solicitor, earlier today by the CEO of the Galway-Roscommon Hospital Group, Tony Canavan.
Mr Halappanavar will be given the report by this evening and has been invited to make contributions and seek adjustments to the report, should he see fit to do so.
Savita, 31, died at UHG on October 28, 2012, after suffering a miscarriage and contracting septicaemia.
Her husband has argued that she was denied an abortion.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, Mr O'Donnell said that a decision on any response to the report will be made after the draft is considered over the weekend.
"Well, it's a long report, it comprises of 108 pages,
"It sets out the sequence of events from when Savita Halappanavar went into hospital to the time of her death. There appears, on a cursory look at it, to be some law quoted in it as well, I need certainly the weekend to consider it, and I'll make sure my client has a copy of it later this evening, and he, too, will want to consider it over the weekend."
