RSA warns road users of black ice


Temperatures are expected to dip as low as minus five tonight, as we enter a late Spring cold snap.

Sub-zero overnight temperatures will bring snow and ice to some parts - Leinster and Munster will be worst affected.

It will be windy too - a combination that could prove hazardous for road users.

The Road Safety Authority is warning black ice could be a danger, and - with the bitterly cold weather due to continue tomorrow - it could take several hours for the roads to warm up in the morning.
