Roads closed as PSNI deal with disturbance

Business owners were advised to stay away from their premises in East Belfast today as police dealt with a disturbance.

Business owners were advised to stay away from their premises in East Belfast today as police dealt with a disturbance.

A number of roads off Templemore Avenue were blocked off after the incident began at around 6.15am.

Castlereagh Street, at the junction with Albert Bridge Road, Upper Frank Street at Castlereagh Street and part of Templemore Avenue remain sealed off.

A PSNI spokesman stressed they were not dealing with a security alert.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
