Revenue officers and Gardaí seized 24kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of almost €500,000 in Co Meath yesterday.

The cannabis, which came from Spain, was found hidden in a shipment of toilets following the search of a yard in Duleek, Co. Meath.

A 24-year-old Irish man was arrested and will appear in court later today.

It follows an intelligence-led operation focusing on the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the north-east of the country.
